Professor Dr. Tiago M. Barbosa holds a position as Assistant-Professor at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and as adjunct professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal. Dr. Tiago got his training at the University of Porto, Portugal. The modelling of the sports performance, the physiological and biomechanical responses of elite athletes, training and testing are some of his research interests.


Antonio Crisafulli

Dr. Antonio Crisafulli is Sport Medicine specialist and Physiologist. Having a Ph.D. in medicine and surgery of the University of Cagliari, he is leader of the Laboratory of Sport Physiology of the University of Cagliari, Italy. His research fields embrace exercise physiology, cardiovascular physiology and physio-pathology, nutrition in exercise and sport, assessment of physical capacity and cardiovascular response during exercise in healthy individuals, assessment of physical capacity and cardiovascular response during exercise in patients suffering from cardiovascular, neurological, and metabolic diseases. 


Moacir Marocolo

Federal University of Juiz de Fora 



Professor Dr. Moacir Marocolo is Chairman of Physiology and Human Performance research group and also associate professor at the Physiology Department at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Brazil. He concluded his Ph.D. in Physiology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and held a post-doctoral position at the German Sport University, Cologne, Germany. His areas of teaching expertise focus on Physiology, applied Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology. His current research interests focus mainly on interventions to promote improvements on exercise and sports performance, cardiovascular physiology, and anabolic steroids.
